While staying in the Eternal City to enjoy all the best of ancient Roman antiquities like Colosseum, Forum, Palatine, etc, it may be both enlightening and complementary to visit such and amazing city like ancient Pompeii.

Frozen in time after the fury of mount Vesuvius eruption in 79 a.d and rediscovered almost 18 centuries later, and still saving a 2\5 of its original surface properly preserved under a thick layer of cinders  and debris, Pompeii is a unique opportunity to fully enjoy a travel back in time and live for a while side by side with ancient Roman people and appreciate their daily life through the Roman Forum and its civic buildings, Baths, Markets, houses and shops, but also street fountains, water towers and more.

This visit rather than just a tour it will be more an experience of ancient lifethat will stay vivid and bright in your minds and hearts for a long time.

How to get there.

From Rome Termini railway station frequent fast trains leaving to Naples central station.

Duration of journey by fast train (Frecciarossa) is 1hr 10 min.

From Naples central station, commuter train Circumvesuviana to POMPEII SCAVI VILLA DEI MISTERI , line NAPLES - SORRENTO. Trains running every 30 min or so andtaking 40 min to Pompeii.

Once at  Pompeii railway station you will meet me or one the  fully licensed guides of my team to provide with private guidance for 2 or 3hrs .

After the guided tour you may explore the site at your pace for longer on your own orjust return to Naples via train in order to board the return train from Rome.

Even in the afternoon trains run regularly back to Rome.

Another opportunity of travelling to Pompeii.

Once you get to Naples train station, in order to maximize time, and travel to Pompeii in a more  comfortable way, escorted by a personal private English speaking driver, I could arrange for a private Mercedes van or sedan with English speaking driver to meet you up at train platform to drive you straight to Pompeii where to meet me or one of the guides working with me, fully licensed, for a private 2 or 3hrs tour of the site.

After the private visit of the site, you may decide to have some lunch in Pompeii itself or return with your driver back to Naples where to have a panoramic sightseeing of the city and see some of its major monuments like Opera’s House, Royal Palace, Castle Nuovo, etc, and decide to stop in the city for some lunch orvisit, before being taken back to Naples station for your return train. For the amount  of time required  your private driver and car will be at full disposal.
